Kim Treffinger
CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Kim has been an artist, photographer, and designer for over 30 years. She is the founder of Painted Pear Press, where she publishes books and creates customized music videos for families, authors, and businesses. With the exciting advances in AI technology, Kim says this is the most fun she’s ever had in her creative career—blending traditional storytelling with innovative visual tools.

A lifelong children’s book lover, Kim has dreamed of being an author herself for many years. She draws deep inspiration from creators like Maurice Sendak, Oliver Jeffers, and Julia Donaldson (The Gruffalo). Kim studied children's book writing and illustration through online workshops—including a Masterclass with Donaldson and a multi-instructor course—and brings that same heart into every project she helps bring to life.

Previously, Kim was a professional portrait photographer for over 20 years, a founding partner in Evolving Toys, and even appeared on HGTV’s Crafters Coast to Coast with her fused glass art in 2004.

She looks forward to the evolving landscape of AI and all the new innovations still to come.
